Off-Grid at The smarter E Europe

June 19–20, 2024 | ICM München

What does it take to secure affordable, clean energy and water for rural people in low-and medium income countries? For sure, it is a combination of concerted political effort and technological progress.

Off-Grid at Intersolar Europe Conference

As part of Intersolar Europe Conference 2024, speakers shed light on experiences, innovations and future perspectives of off-grid system in four dedicated off-grid sessions. In 2023 there was an additional opening off-grid session.

This year, projects around the water-energy-food nexus will be presented and the relevance of digitalization to speed-up off-grid projects will be analyzed. An additional session will focus on storage systems and sector coupling.

Renowned key note speakers from international organizations will be providing insights into electrification, off-grid systems and decentralized renewable energies.

For participants only interested in these sessions, a separate Off-Grid conference ticket is available.

New & better placed Off-Grid Power Workshop

The off-grid solar sector continues to make a name for itself as the solution of choice when it comes to high quality rural electrification or reliable backup power or instrument to deliver power quality. There now are a growing number of ways in which On- / Off-Grid solutions can be implemented. From leasing to PAYG to smart grids. The applications of the technologies are also constantly expanding to better meet the real needs of local people, allowing them to use electricity more profitably, for example through productive use for agriculture, irrigation, industry and more.

At the Off-Grid Power Workshop 2024 at The smarter E Europe you can learn about the latest lessons learned, technical developments and future applications in this field. With this in mind, the BSW, BMZ, Intersolar Europe and event partner UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Germany once again invite you to the "Off-Grid Power Workshop - Meet the Practitioners 2024".

As the industry and the event have changed continuously over the last few years, this year’s edition wants to tweak and hopefully improve the concept. The Off-Grid Power Workshop will take place at a new and more prominent location (ICM 14c), include a joint (& cost-free) high-level opening event with Intersolar Conference on 19th of June from 16.00 – 17.30 pm on “Pioneering 100% Renewables: Opportunities and Challenges of Off-Grid in Island and Remote Environments” and include an attractive package allowing you to attend both events.
