Agrivoltaics in Germany and France: Potentials and Challenges

Free Webinar

Tuesday, March 14, 2023 I 11:00am–12:00pm CET | Webinar Language: English

The field of agrivoltaics (Agri-PV) is growing increasingly in Germany and in France. The level of interest from players in agriculture, energy supply and research is rising sharply. Already today, agriculture contributes to the achievement of renewable energy development goals. It is expected that agrivoltaics, which forms a synergy between agricultural activities and the production of photovoltaic electricity, will reinforce this trend. Thus, this application could contribute to the expansion of solar energy. The goal is to increase the capacity currently installed in both countries by about three times by 2030. However, the economic, business and social impacts must be considered.
