In the future, operators of solar power systems will hardly be able to avoid PV home storage systems. The reasons for this are the expiry of the EEG subsidy, the new Solar Peak Act, and variable electricity tariffs. In order for PV systems to remain profitable, solar power must be stored temporarily. Traditionally, DC storage systems and inverters are usually installed for this purpose. SAX Power offers an alternative: an AC power storage system that delivers 230 volts of alternating current directly, without the usual hybrid inverter.
Today, we are talking about this innovation with Marc Gretzinger, senior electronics developer at SAX Power.
