Andreas is an economist with experience from a variety of management positions in the energy sector, the public sector, consulting and the manufacturing business. He is an expert in power market design and regulation, in particular related to designing flexibility markets, opening markets for new business models, and creating a level playing field for demand resonse, storage and renewables.
In 2014, Andreas joined Entelios, one of the leading European Demand Response aggregators and flexibility service providers. He is now Director Corporate Functions at Entelios Central & Western Europe, which includes the responsibility for Entelios regulatory affairs activities, its policy and advocacy work in Europe. Andreas is active in a number of European smart energy expert groups and business associations, such as Smart Energy Europe (smartEn), where Andreas is Chairman of the markets committee, and the German Association of Energy Market Innovators (bne), where Andreas chairs the committee for new business models.
Prior to joining Entelios, Andreas lived in London for six years, where he held positions at the British Energy Regulator, Ofgem, as well as the economic consulting team at Deloitte.
Andreas holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BA in Business Information Systems from the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
