Our Utility Peer Exchanges are interactive small-group discussions designed exclusively for energy suppliers and grid operators. Each session begins with a brief, practical keynote presentation by an energy supplier or grid operator, followed by an open exchange on practical challenges, lessons learned, and best practices in real-world operations. The focus is on honest dialogue among like-minded peers rather than formal presentations.
With the increasing adoption of e-mobility, intelligent charging solutions and the use of vehicles as flexible energy storage resources are becoming ever more important. At the same time, energy providers face the challenge of efficiently integrating these technologies into existing structures and creating added value for the energy system.
In this peer exchange session, Dr. Matti Sprengeler from The Mobility House Energy demonstrates the practical potential of bidirectional charging. Using the example of the cooperation with Renault, he provides exclusive insights into the world's first commercial vehicle-to-grid product and illustrates how electric vehicles can actively contribute to the energy system - and the role end customers play in this.
