Review: Learn about topics in the solar industry – at the Intersolar Europe 2022 exhibition forum

In Hall A3, the forum started on May 11 with presentations of products and solutions from AWARD nominees for the Intersolar AWARD and ees AWARD 2022, which are awarded to pioneering projects in the Photovoltaics and Electrical Energy Storage award categories. BiPV, building-integrated photovoltaics was the topic of the next presentations at the forum on Wednesday. An overview of the topic of solar building envelopes, outstanding projects, research priorities, but also details of planning and implementation was given.

On Thursday, May 12, Joint Forces for Solar welcomed visitors to its established event format, the PV Briefing & Networking Forum. This year's contribution revolved around the key role of solar energy in the current debate on fossil fuel inflation in Europe. It continued with the latest developments in inverter technology.

The Franco-German Office for the Energy Transition (DFBEW) made an appearance on Thursday, May 13, with the topic of business models for PV systems with storage in Germany and France with the aim of facilitating a Franco-German dialogue between stakeholders from industry, academia and institutions. The German Solar Energy Society (DGS) then welcomed participants with a niche topic of great interest to private consumers – a draft standard to ensure the usability of plug-in solar devices – also called "balcony power plants". Afterwards, the DGS invited to a panel discussion on the topic "Transformation of energy supply". The conclusion of the forum was dedicated to the future topic "Smart Combined; solar, storage and e-mobility". Here, renowned manufacturers presented integrative solutions for a self-sufficient energy supply with these three variables.
