EU Recovery Package: Make or Break for the Green Deal?

The smarter E Podcast Episode 04 | June 11, 2020

Climate change and environmental degradation are existential threats to Europe and the world. Europe therefore needs a new growth strategy if it is to make a successful transition to a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy.

The European Green Deal is the European Union's roadmap for a sustainable EU economy. It aims to ensure that climate and environmental challenges are successfully addressed across all policy areas. The European Commission recently launched the Recovery Instrument to help the EU economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic – will it be green recovery and is solar included in these plans?

This question and much more about the Green Deal is revealed by Aurelie Beauvais, Policy Director of SolarPower Europe in an interview with Zackes Brustik.

The smarter E podcast is all about the current trends and developments in a renewable, decentralized and digital energy industry. Our moderators Tobias Bücklein and Zackes Brustik welcome and interview personalities who shape our industry and drive developments forward. A new episode is published every Thursday.
