Introduction of the New Standard for the Mounting of PV Systems
This newly developed standard is intended to summarize the state of the art and provides, in particular, designers, mounting system manufacturers, and installation companies with guidance on what must be considered from a structural engineering perspective when planning and installing PV and solar thermal systems.
The content can be understood as an 'envelope' for existing standards and regulations (Eurocodes, trade-specific rules, etc.), supplemented by several new provisions that specifically concern ballasted systems.
It is intended to improve the quality of solar systems from a structural engineering perspective, but also entails additional work for planners.
Join us to discuss what the new standard means for the industry!
