Solar PV is booming across Europe - Skilled workers are not. Can Pakistan's young population be part of the solution?

As installation targets grow, companies across the renewable energy sector are facing a critical question: Where will the workforce come from? In Germany and across Europe, ageing populations and increasing competition for talent are putting pressure on the solar industry. At the same time, solar PV installation remains highly labor-intensive, despite advances in automation and AI.

This session brings together representatives from the European solar industry and Pakistani stakeholders to explore forward-looking partnerships in solar training, skills development, and talent mobility. Discover what Pakistan's workforce can offer, and how international collaboration can help address one of the key bottlenecks in the energy transition.

Gain insights into the potential of Pakistan to support Europe's growing demand for skilled workers-and contribute your perspective as an employer. We are particularly interested in inputs from the demand side: What job and skills profiles are needed? What are the expectations around language and cultural readiness? Which certifications and recognitions are required? Join us for an outcome-oriented discussion in Munich.

As a visitor to the exhibition, you are warmly invited to participate in this workshop. The event is free of charge and open to all attendees holding a valid exhibition ticket. The event is supported by the German Solar Association.
