For the fifth year in a row Women Energize Women (WEW) is bringing together women from across the solar sector at Intersolar. 'Women Powering Progress: Connecting Women in Solar - From India to Eu-rope and beyond' will offer an open exchange on career paths, workforce realities, and working condi-tions, spanning Europe and Asia as well as globally.
The event will open with a moderated fireside chat featuring perspectives from both Germany and India. Gender-specific working conditions and career challenges shaping the solar sector in these regions will be the focus of this discussion.
Afterwards the event will transition into a networking format - offering a relaxed conclusion to the second day of the exhibition, with space for meaningful conversations, new connections, and honest exchange among women and allies. Food and refreshments will be provided.
This event is organized on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) within the global initiative Women Energize Women by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusam-menarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and in cooperation with Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft (BSW-Solar).
About Women Energize Women:
Women Energize Women is a global communication initiative, which provides a platform to showcase women's expertise, highlighting their technical knowledge and indispensable impact on the energy sec-tor as well as underscoring their critical role in driving the success of the energy transition. It has a two-pronged approach: first, the implementation of specialized panel discussions and networking forums, and second, a global social media campaign which showcases female role models and sensitizes the public to women's key position in the energy transition. It is implemented on behalf of the Federal Minis-try for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusam-menarbeit (GIZ) within the scope of BMWE's global project Bilateral Energy Partnerships and Dialogues.
