Daniel Hölder was born in 1965. He graduated 1992 as Diplomingenieur in chemical engineering at KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Techology, Germany.
Hölder started his career as research associate at Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT in Oberhausen, Germany. Subsequently he worked as manager of a biogas plant, as head of sales of a biogas plants construction company (Hese Umwelt GmbH) and as business development director of an energy service company (Dalkia Germany).
Daniel Hölder joined Clean Energy Sourcing in 2011 as Director Energy Policy & Communication. The focus of his work concentrates on the commercial conditions and the regulatory framework for the market integration of renewable energies and flexibilities. Since December 2017, Daniel Hölder is Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Clean Energy Sourcing GmbH, which is part of the BayWa r.e. Group.
As member of Board of the German Renewable Energy Association Bundesverband Erneuerbare Energien (BEE) and Bundesverband Neue Energiewirtschaft (bne) and as Member of Board of Directors of the European Renewable Energy Association smartEn, Hölder has been active in association work for several years.
