DESCRIPTION:Germany's energy transition is technically feasible and economically viable. Nevertheless\, political misjudgments\, insufficient infrastructure\, and media narratives often shape the public discourse more negatively than necessary. Although solutions for a fully renewable 24/7 energy system already exist\, grid expansion\, storage integration\, cross-sector coordination\, and market-based incentives have not yet been implemented to a sufficient extent. As part of the special exhibit 'Renewables 24/7 - Secure Energy for a Changing World' at The smarter E Europe 2026\, we aim to highlight this gap and discuss how a fully renewable energy system can become not only technically feasible\, but also socially sustainable and effectively communicated to the public. In this panel session\, we bring together perspectives from academia\, media\, and politics. The goal is to clearly communicate the real technological options\, provide the public with context for understanding complex interrelationships\, and generate momentum for a constructive and fact-based public discourse.
