Dr. Silke Krawietz, PhD, M.Sc., B.Sc., CEO of SETA Network (Sustainability, Energy, Technology and Architecture), London, is a thought-leader and advisor in sustainability, innovation and disruptive technologies. Through SETA Network professional foresight strategy consulting, Dr. Krawietz is advising in the fields of innovation strategies for energy efficiency in buildings and cities, urban mobility and foresight, solar architecture, solar building envelopes, renewable energies - in particular building integration of newest technologies of photovoltaics (BIPV) for the construction sector.
Dr. Krawietz through SETA Network is a member of the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (Global GABC), Paris, committed to the reduction of GHG emissions and energy and resource consumption for the buildings and construction sector. She was appointed to the Governing Board of REEEP Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership, Vienna and joined the Strategy, Innovation and Business Development Committee of REEEP. Dr. Krawietz is also a board member of Design Build Solar, London and advisory board member of the international Architectural Solar Association (ASA), USA. Since 2008 she is a Steering Committee member of the European Technology and Innovation Platform Photovoltaics (ETIP PV), Brussels. From 2014 until 09/2018 she has been leader of the ETIP PV Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) working group.
Since 2018 Dr. Krawietz is member of the working group ‘Digitisation of the electricity system and Customer participation’ in the European Technology & Innovation Platform Smart Network for Energy Transition (ETIP SNET), Brussels.

With a university degree in architecture Dr. Krawietz achieved a doctorate with Honours in Sustainable Architecture and Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) at the Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. She worked at the University of New South Wales in the team of Professor Martin A. Green, Sydney, Australia. She has been Interim Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Catania, at the LUISS Business School and at the Faculty of Economics, of the LUISS University in Rome.
