In 1998, Christian Schill received his Diploma in Physics from Albert-Ludwig University in Freiburg that he pursued at Fraunhofer ISE. He then worked at Freiburg Material Research Center (FMF) on dye-sensitized solar cells. Since 2001, he is also affiliated with the Faculty of Environment and Natural resources, University of Freiburg. He re-joined ISE in 2008 and has been working in the fields of Service Life Analysis, Outdoor Monitoring of PV modules and geospatial data analysis. He was project manager of a pilot project in the Sustainability Center Freiburg dealing with global stress classification for solar materials. Currently, he shares Task 13s Activity lead 2.4 on the Impact of Soiling on PV System Performance and Reliability.
