Duarte joined EDP Group in 2006 as Head of M&A and Corporate Development, overseeing international M&A transactions in renewables and networks in Europe, the U.S., Latin America, and China. Three years later, he took over as Chief of Staff for EDP's CEO. Since 2017, he has been developing his professional career at EDP Renewables, where he is CEO for Europe and LATAM, leading the strategy for renewable onshore (wind and solar) in 15 countries. He is also a member of EDP Group's Investment Committee. Prior to joining EDP Group, Duarte worked in investment banking at Citigroup in London, and at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney in the UK and Portugal. As for his academic background, Duarte studied Business and Administration at Faculdade de Economia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and later completed his academic training with an MBA at INSEAD (France and Singapore).

Barbara came to Statkraft as CEO of SolarCentury through the acquisition of the company. She then became CFO in Statkraft European Wind and Solar before she took on the EVP role in 2022. Barbara also has extensive experience within consulting and finance from various businesses. She holds a master's degree in economics and finance from University of Hamburg. She heads the Business Area Europa that oversees development and operations of European activities within hydropower, wind power, solar, gas and batteries. Group procurement and the project delivery unit is also in this business area.

Previously he has held the following positions: Deputy CEO of SolarPower Europe, Coordinator of the RE-Source Platform - the European alliance for corporate sourcing of renewable energy, founding Chairman of the Global Solar Council (GSC), Chief Operating Officer at WindEurope for 10 years, founding Secretary General of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and Managing Director of FLiDAR, an offshore wind company. He has a Master degree in renewable energy systems technology and is fluent in English and French.

Mr Clerens studied law at the University of Saarbrücken and the University of Mainz. Since 1996, he has worked as a consultant for a private company specialising in European Affairs in Brussels. In his capacity as Brussels Representative of different European associations, he has been involved in the climate and energy field since 2003. He has managed the EASE office in Brussels as Secretary General since its establishment in September 2011. Since then, EASE has grown from the initial 13 founding members to over 60 and is still growing rapidly.

Jochen Kreusel is Senior Vice President of Hitachi Energy, Zurich, and Global Head of Market Innovation. He studied electrical engineering at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), where he was also granted his doctorate. From 1994 to 2020 he worked with ABB, where he held managing positions in marketing and technology. Jochen Kreusel is President of T&D Europe and member of the Supervisory Committee of VDE Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies. He is member of several committees of the European Commission and the German government on aspects of the future development of power systems. Moreover, he is honorary professor at RWTH Aachen University, where he is teaching power economics in liberalized electricity markets.

Seb Henbest is Group Head of Climate Transition at HSBC, supporting the development, evolution and integration of the bank's climate strategy and working with its most emissions-intensive clients to accelerate their transition to a net-zero future. Prior to this he spent 14 years at BloombergNEF, most recently as Chief Economist. In that role he oversaw the firm's energy economics group and energy transition scenario analysis and was lead author of BNEF's flagship publication, the New Energy Outlook. Before that he was Director of BNEF's Europe, Middle East and Africa division and Head of Research for BNEF in Australia, establishing the firm's Sydney offices in 2009. Seb is a senior spokesperson on the energy transition, speaks regularly at industry conferences and events, and is quoted widely in print media. He has appeared as an expert commentator on ABC TV, Sky News, BBC, Bloomberg TV and ABC Radio. In 2012 he gave evidence to House of Representatives Economics Committee in Australia on the pricing dynamics of linking Australia's Carbon Price Mechanism with the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. He is a 2015 Rex J Lipman Fellow and was previously an advisor to the GCC region Clean Energy Business Council. Seb studied physics and theoretical astrophysics at Adelaide University and atmospheric science at Monash University in Australia, before moving to the UK where he read International Relations at Clare Hall, Cambridge, specializing in emissions trading and environmental markets.

Markus Elsässer studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart. He worked for a German manufacturer of solar thermal systems before he founded several companies all in the field of renewable energies. Markus Elsässer is the founder and CEO of the company Solar Promotion GmbH, an internationally operating exhibition company with a focus on renewable energy, energy storage technologies, electric transportation and energy efficiency. In 1991 he founded Intersolar, the world´s leading exhibition series for the solar industry with events spanning four continents. In 2014 the ees (electrical energy storage) exhibition was started, which has become Europe's largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems. In 2018 he founded The smarter E, an innovation hub for events and topics driving the new energy world: renewable energies, decentralization, digitalization and electric transportation. Solar Promotion has currently 50+ employees in Germany and has representation offices in 14 countries.

Ralf Plieninger has been sonnen GmbH's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since May 2022, heading up the company's research and development as well as the global service. Before that, he was Managing Director and COO/CTO at Torqeedo, an innovative specialist for electric boat drives, building up the company for almost 10 years. Prior to that, he held various top management positions in engineering and supply chain management at the photovoltaic manufacturer Q-Cells. During the first ten years of this career, he worked in different locations at Infineon Technologies in the areas of production planning, product and process engineering and package development. He holds a PhD in semiconductor physics with a thesis on thin silicon solar cells.
